Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) is an international development charity that works through volunteers who work with local organisations in developing countries sharing skills and expertise. The Indonesian VSO programme is based mainly in Java and East Tenggaru, where volunteers work in the areas of secure livelihoods, maternal and child health and disability.

Obor Berkat Indonesia (OBI) is a non-profit humanitarian organization focusing on healthcare service(social work, medical clinic, mass operations involving cleft lip, hernia and cataract and improving nutrition of children) and on education( school adoption, pre-kindergarten, community learning centers and providing school packages).

The World Health Organization, the United Nations specialised agency for health (established in 1948) aims to coordinate international health activities and to help governments improve health services. Health is being defined in WHO’s Constitution as state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely absence of disease or infirmity.

The Yayasan Gaia is a Indonesian NGO that works on poverty and disaster relief together with a range of international partner organisations. Projects include a house building programme, sanitation and provision of clean water, mobile clinics and livelihood recovery. The organisation also operates a revolving loan fund.

World Food Programme, Since 1998, WFP has supported more than 20 million food-insecure Indonesians, primarily in the aftermath of natural disasters and economic shocks.

World Vision is a Christian relief and development organisation working for the well being of all people, especially children. Through emergency relief, education, health care, economic development and through raising public awareness they seek to promote the situation of the needy and provide for their basic necessities.

Yayasan Bina Mandiri (YBM) is a non-governmental foundation specializing in programs designed to transform economically disadvantaged communities to become self-sufficient and enhance their standard of living. Special emphasis is placed toward the education of children, housing for the homeless, employment opportunities for the unemployed, and community health. YBM is member of AYUB (Asosiasi Yayasan Untuk Bangsa), an association of Christian charity foundations in Indonesia.
